How does the Mise en scene help construct the representation of age?

in the “monarch of the glen” clip there is evidence of representation of age. at the beginning of the video you can see a lot of props used to show the representation of age for example middle aged men using tools for hard labor, which show they are a hardworking class. also we see the different type of clothes that the men are wearing which show a age gap between the kids and the adults for example many of the adults are wearing a heaving clothing which show hard work labor , however the two kids in the scene the girl and the boy is wearing casual clothing which show shes young and vulnerable.

furthermore, there are a lot of body language used to represent the age group from the adults and the kids. were by when the girl comes out of the court yard and then goes into the car, from this point she seems confused because she don't know who to start the car which repserent her youth that she is young and puzzled about the situation. in addition the next scene follows on she crashed into her headteacher car, which we later find out when he steps out the car and calls out her name. from this point we see another body language that illustrates her youth, by using the idea of blocking, whereby she hides behind her career which show she is scared and on a real life situation most youths always hide behind their parents when they get told off.

the headteacher however looks as if his from a higher class  compared to the girl career because he was dressed more smartly with a v-shaped sweatshirt and a old fashioned suit,  which indicates the  old age through showing he has a lot of Grey hair and a beard. we then go into another scene whereby we see the headteachers office, which is old and gloomy has a brown wallpapers and candle, this shows the representation of age because a normal teenager will have a room that has color. furthermore, the room builds up more representation of age because the headteacher got a brandy dicander a old posh drink which tell that no teenager will have a alcohol bottler in their room.

then we see another scene whereby the girl is getting told of by her career that she had lied to him, the body language that they have used in that scene show a representation  of age for  example, when the girl gets told off she begins to wave her hands up and down like a child getting told of, and makes a screwed face. However the career uses the idea of wagging his finger at the girl when his telling her off shows that he is an adult figure. then we see  a montage of working class men using tools showing their skills and experience.

final scene we see the room of the girl which show the representation of age, example its more colorful compared to the teacher's office, also we can see young teenage magazine and teddy bears also pink lamp and a childlike writing on a paper. and then we see a middle aged woman calling her name when she enters the girl room she seems worried showing he cares for the girl.
